Longing - Chapter 1 (snippet #30)...
Taylor tweeted, ABBA, huh? They’re gr8. Concise. Not at all stalkerish. Seconds hung in the air. She’d already begun to prepare herself for no response when the LED flashed on her phone. She swiped it on to find a tweet from Zoe. Totally! What’s your favorite song?

Taylor stared at the tongue emoticon on the screen. She closed her eyes and pictured Zoe actually sticking her tongue out with her beautiful blue eyes shining and her brow slightly crinkled. For a heartbeat, Taylor couldn’t believe this was happening. Staring at her phone, she thought of Zoe teasing her.
@ABBAfan Me 2. Normally heavy metal or classical tho. ABBA is my only inbetween music
@TaylorSinclair Now THAT’S a difference ;) I’m not really into classical, but I like Metallica. Sandman is my favorite!

Taylor debated whether or not to reply, but decided against it. She would leave the contact up to Zoe now. If she tweeted her, Taylor would respond, but if she didn’t then it was for the best anyway, right? Finding Beauty on Twitter had to break some kind of ethical rule, since Taylor’s father was her doctor. Perhaps not, but it was suspect. Even if it was, it didn’t matter. She cradled the phone in her hands and stared at Zoe’s avatar. They’d just had their first conversation.
