Set-up (last week)... Greta runs away from her surprise engagement party through the woods. Pax saves her from a shadow demon. Oh, and he's a unicorn!

“Great.” I knew I sounded flip, but holy hell. How much more could a girl take? My current two choices were: marry Bain or death by shadow.
Hah, not freakin’ happening.
“But, it marking you means we have some time. It obviously still wants to feed on you, otherwise it would’ve just killed you tonight. The problem is, because it tried to mark you, it’s probably getting desperate...In need of strength.”

ReplyDeleteOh it's getting better, it's not even a shadow anymore, it's a desperate shadow. It could feed on Bain and solve all the problems at once. :D
