Weekend Writing Warriors: Is he really gonna show her his horn?? RUNNING FROM SHADOWS! #8Sunday #PlayListVid

Thank you for stopping by. I'm excited to participate with such a fantastic group of writers! Check out other warriors here!

Today I'm sharing from my (unpublished) young adult paranormal romance Running From Shadows, currently being read by a lovely agent!! Squee!!

Follow Greta Shore (a 17-year-old, black-haired wiccan beauty) and Paxton "Pax" Craig (an 18-year-old, blond-haired college student with a dark secret) as they discover the fate of their forbidden love.
(Read last week's post) Set-up... Pax has told Greta that he's a unicorn. A unicorn!!! So, of course, Greta is all: sure, yeah, whatever... Prove it! Pax is stubborn, so he says he won't shift into his full monoceros form, but he will show her his horn. Uh, yeah, his horn!

I rolled my eyes.

“Deal?” He didn’t budge.

I walked to him. “Fine.”

He touched the small of my back as I passed by, and a delicious shock raced through my body.

“So how are we gonna do—” I turned to him, and my mouth fell open. “Whoa.”

Tune in next week for more Greta and Pax!! ;)

Thanks again for stopping by! Your support and feedback is greatly appreciated!

Because being a warrior is hard work, here's a vid from the Running From Shadows playlist to reward all you sexy, sweaty peeps ;)

  1. LOL -- that "whoa" cracked me up. I'm guessing his horn is. . . impressive. :)

  2. Great ending there! "Whoa" indeed. :-)

  3. P.S. Love that song by Bonnie Tyler!

  4. And just when do we get to see his...horn? Tease! At least she seems impressed! LOL Great 8!

  5. I want to see what she's seeing! Excellent excerpt, love this story!

  6. LOL_ I'll bet it was a sight to beheld.
    My 8

  7. Must be something pretty darn good. Can't wait to hear all about him. Great job. :-)

  8. Oh my! I'm having such comment problems today. I left one earlier, and I'm glad I stopped back because the comment isn't here. Probably a Blogspot issue. :-)

I like this--that he's a unicorn! That is wonderful, and your 8 sentence post is sprinkled with subtle humor.

    Great eight! :-)

  9. Guessing she finally saw his horn? These two are cracking me up.

  10. This blog is really good for newbie like me and so much a lot of informative post. Truly I like it because I fully impressed to it…
