  • My dark and gritty work-in-progress, titled Becoming, (a new adult urban fantasy with cursed dragon shifters) is currently with my amazing editor!!! So excited to make this story sparkle and then pitch it at RT and RWA in a few months! Agents, you're gonna want this story...like super bad! Just sayin' ;D
  • Check out my stunning cover inspiration (right side above this paragraph) designed by the talented Danielle Fine!!!
  • (Read last week's snippet, here) Now, for an unedited teaser for you (one of the two heroine's POV--Zoe Moore, the raven-haired beauty with lots of neuroses). Zoe's mom just showed up on campus and is making her go to a check-up since she's skipped her last appointments.
  • (Teaser)
“Don’t you need a coat?” Mom lifted her pencil thin brow.

“Yeah.” Not really. She did need her cellphone. Painfully aware of her mother’s gaze latching onto her back with judging talons, Zoe reminded herself not to limp. It was getting a little easier now that she’d been moving around. In the common room, she put on her khaki trench, even though she would’ve been perfectly fine without it. Better, actually. She grabbed her bag and cellphone, stealing another quick glance at the display. Nothing. No word. She’d been an idiot and ruined it. Taylor’s faraway look…the wave…it had been goodbye.
  • (Dragon Update) I'm currently editing Becoming!! And I've had a TON of positive comments from my editor...ie: Lovely, Beautiful and Gorgeous!!! *happy dance, like for real*

Above is a pic of the ACTUAL edits...just realized Word could minimize the pages like this. So, yeah, me real tech savvy ;)

Random Alert! Alert. Alert. Alert...
Dayum, is Mom editing AGAIN?? She never plays with me!!! (Demon pup musings)

I am hugely disappointed!! *throws hands in air and flails about like a three-year-old* I have ALWAYS wanted a classic trench coat. ALWAYS. Like, you just don't even know. Okay, anyway, I was so excited about this one I found on Saturday at NY & Co. It was perfect! Annnd 50% off (so I thought), making it only $50. I could totally swing $50 for something I'd ALWAYS wanted, right? I even took this pic in the dressing room so I could tweet my victory after I purchased it. Well, lo and behold if I don't find out that it's buy one and get the SECOND half off!!!! WTH!!! That should be illegal! I'm just saying. My heart was dashed to little bits. That might be a tad dramatic, but I was ticked off with a capital T. *growls* That'll teach me to read the fine print on signs. Phew. Okay...deep breath. One day I shall have this coat.

I did, however, purchase this outfit. It's really stepping outside of my comfort zone. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE bright colors, but this shirt is almost highlighter green-yellow...it doesn't show up like that in the pic. Plus, it's A-line, which is different for me cos I don't have any shirts like that. Anyway, also, I don't normally purchase entire outfits...just a piece or two at a time. So I'm kinda pleased with myself and had to share :P

My apologies in advance if this pic gives you a seizure. The lighting in that particular room at the gym is HORRIBLE. So this is my new nemesis at the gym. Despite having taking years of ballet, I am seriously uncoordinated. For example, I trip going UP stairs. Yeah. The fact of the matter is...stairs and I are not exactly friends, so why I'm using this machine is beyond me.

  1. lol - 10 yrs of ballet and you trip up stairs.

  2. The thing Dani did is fabulous. I hate buy one get one free annoying as well. Who wants or needs 2 trench coats?

The stair climber is weird and to my view if you slow down, and end up on the bottom step, you are in big trouble.

I'll stick with hiking. Jess hates stairs.

    1. Dani is totally fabulous! Not sure which thing you're talking about tho...the editing marks? I found that on Pinterest and used my uber tech savvy skillz to embed it onto the post ;) Score!

The buy one get one free is ridiculous! Grrr!!

I've nearly fallen off the stair climber on two occasions! Eep!

      Jess! lol :)

      Thanks for stopping by, Liza!

  3. Cool, I didn't know word could do that either! Then again, I might not want to see all of my edited pages in a row like that...it would fill up the screen with red! HA!

  4. Your posts are so much fun! So are those or are those not the diacritical marks Dani uses on your ms? I don't get those marks! :( They're cute. Takes the edge off of "This sucks." LOL Not that Dani would ever say that, but I'm just sayin'. :)

Such a sad Rusty pup! Mom needs to play more. My cats tell me this all the time--just before pouncing on my printer. LOL Super post!

    1. Thank you, Jenna! I'm glad you enjoy! :D

LOL The marks are just a chart I found on Pinterst that I thought was cute ;) I tried to put a caption under it saying what it was but Blogger kept eating it for some reason, and my tech savvy skillz only go so far!

Rusty pup is so pitiful! Awww, I bet your kitties are adorable on your printer!

Thank you for commenting!! All these comments make me feel special!
