Today I'm sharing snippet #5 from the Becoming prequel titled Longing (unedited and in Taylor's POV)! Read Snippets here: #1, #2, #3, #4. Excited for y'all to get to know my dragons better :)
Longing - Chapter 1 (snippet #5)...

He shrugged. “Why? I don’t get it.” He gestured to the bed. “What about the past three months? And you know, last night? We had fun.” He paused and he lifted a brow. “Didn’t we?”

Taylor hooked her purse on her shoulder and clutched it closely to her side. No, she didn’t have fun last night, but she wouldn’t tell him that. It’d be bad manners. She took a deep breath. “I’m not into guys.”

She could taste the beast’s elation.

“What?” He threw back the covers and walked over to her. “You seemed pretty into what we were doing last night.”

Random Alert! Alert. Alert. Alert...
My popular little demon pup got a toy at the vet on Saturday :) He's everyone's favorite cos he's such a little lover--when he wants to be! He did so good, even tho he had to get all his yearly shots and have his anal gland emptied... TMI? lol Ohh, toy update, he hasn't destroyed it yet (gasp), however, he has removed all the little squeakers.

I wanted to buy ALL of these at Target...especially the new ones...they're tiny cubes!!! I have quite the thing for Post-it notes ;)

These were my laptop's last words... Dun, dun, dun. Even oh-great-tech-master (AKA the hubs) couldn't resurrect it :( So, shipped it back to the manufacturer on Tuesday. Cross your fingers that it's healed or replaced soon!! At least this time all my files were backed up on Dropbox. Phew!

Story time... So, this is part of the fence in the backyard, which is damaged...if you couldn't tell :P Anyway, I had to take this pic to share that even tho something bad/inconvenient happened there are still good people in the world. Apparently what happened was a 16-year-old boy was driving late at night and ran off the road (he wasn't injured) and straight into our fence. The very next day (Thursday) the boy's dad came to our house and told us that he was so sorry and would have someone out to fix it ASAP. Well, Friday when we got home from work the fence was totally repaired...good as new! Actually better cos the new part hasn't grayed out yet :P Anyway, had to share that because this guy didn't have to do that...he could have just not ever said anything and we would've never known what happened. Gotta have respect for people like that. Massive props! :)

  1. Great blog! I hope you get good news on the laptop. It is so good to hear stories that there are still good people in this world. There is so much negativity in our world that it is so uplifting to hear a positive story about good people!!!!
